Polymer QCF Qualifications

Recently the NVQ qualification has been revised into a new stream called QCF. The programme provides a qualification system that follows an approved criteria as set by Cogent.

The aim of the QCF scheme is to support employees in increasing their knowledge and understanding about their role. The programme comprises of training and on the job assessment, a model that is supported by the awarding bodies and the SFA. The programme includes training together with a formal assessment against the National Standard for the industry. Better qualified employees are:

• More productive
• Better able to adapt to change and the introduction of new technology
• More committed to their employer and able to make a greater contribution to the business

Any job role or function in the polymer disciplines can be explored and S4PL are fully set up to provide these qualifications

Polymer Technical Training

We are able to offer technical training programmes either on-site or at our well equipped training centre in the disciplines of:

• Injection moulding
• Blow moulding
• Extrusion
• Thermoforming
• Tampo printing
• Downstream equipment
• Robotics
• Gas injection

New Product Design

Utilising both ours and partners expertise we are able to provide either support or a full package of product development from concept through to acceptance. We can offer all of the services from product design, tool design 3d prototyping mould manufacture, mould trialling and customer acceptance, full support in relation to cad drawing for both mould and part are available. We have access to a wide range of moulding machines if trialling is not possible or required at your own premises. We can even help with the contacting of your mould to a suitable moulder if required. Should you require an independent unbiased report indicating areas requiring further investigation of a new mould then this is also possible.

Polymer Apprenticeships

By working with our partners S4PL have been able to create a delivery method that suits apprentices within the polymer sector that specialise in the needs of the business and the activity being undertaken by the individual. We are pleased to be able to offer this service on a national scale.

Product Improvements

Whether through our standard range of training courses, or through on-site support and mentoring, S4PL are instrumental in achieving improved efficiency levels and waste reduction through the introduction of logical and systematical troubleshooting techniques.
